The Tintagel Maze wall plaque is based on the Rocky Valley Maze found at St. Nectans Glen, Tintagel, Cornwall.

The Labyrinth or Maze is thought to date back to the Bronze age around 4,000 years ago. This universal symbol can be found all over, it’s said to have magical powers, it can been found on ancient Cretan coins, the slopes around Glastonbury Tor, here it’s said to represent the goddess of love, it is also the symbol of Mother Earth to the Hopi Indians in Arizona.

The Labyrinth is thought to represent life’s journey. We are all on a path to our destination. The maze as with life requires an active brain to make many choices to reach the mystical centre, the silent place, our destination.

Approximate size 8 1/2" x 6 1/2"

Suitable for indoor or outdoor but please remember, these are hand painted and patterning will differ from plaque to plaque, they should be kept out of direct sunlight which may cause the paint to fade or peel in extreme heat .
